We organise, review and prepare the available evidence so the appropriate professional can act within their own role.

What happens at each stage of Threshold?
Step 1 is a plain-English enquiry: tell us what has happened. Step 2 is an independence and conflict check. Step 3 is a written scope, agreed fee and expected timescale. Step 4 is secure evidence intake. Step 5 is the controlled document register and workspace. Step 6 is the human-led review, under the scope you have already seen and agreed.
What should I send with my first enquiry?
Please do not send confidential evidence with your first message. A short description of what has happened and what you are trying to understand is enough. If the matter proceeds, we will provide secure transfer instructions before any documents move.
What should I not send?
Do not send full case files, medical records, safeguarding disclosures or third-party personal data with an initial enquiry. Do not send anything you would not want to be held in a general inbox. Everything sensitive is handled inside the controlled Threshold workspace, not by email.
How secure is the process?
Where a matter proceeds, evidence is held in a workspace dedicated to that matter, separate from other engagements, with access limited to the people working on it. The workspace platform, authentication method, hosting location and named subprocessors are being confirmed and will be published on the Data Protection & Retention page before ORVIA begins receiving evidence.
What happens after Threshold?
Once Threshold closes, the substantive ORVIA review begins under the scope you have already agreed — accountable to a named human reviewer, with every finding traceable to the register. Threshold is not the review itself; it is what makes the review trustworthy.
Is there a cost for the first conversation?
The initial scoping conversation is offered at no cost. Fees are agreed after Gate One so they reflect the work genuinely required. Registering an enquiry does not create an engagement or guarantee that the service will be offered.
